Jessica Byrne is a civil litigator with experience handing a wide variety of matters for her clients ranging from complex personal injury cases, automobile and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, warranty claims, aviation, contractual matters, construction, commercial litigation and general business litigation.  As a litigator, Jessica has experience handling jury and non-jury trials, as well as arbitration.  During her career, Jessica was second chair on a six week product’s liability jury trial in Portland, Oregon arising from a civilian helicopter crash that involved wrongful death and serious bodily injury claims. Since that time, Jessica has been involved in several other jury trials and non-jury trials. In addition to her legal work, Jessica has earned several executive appointments on the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section Board of Governors (including President and Treasurer).

Jessica is a Florida native, born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating from FSU, she attended Florida Coastal School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2008.  While at Florida Coastal, Jessica was part of the Family Law Clinic where she handled temporary restraining orders and other family law matters. Prior to joining Dawson Orr, Jessica was an associate in both small and larger state-wide firms, handing State Court and Federal Court cases, as well as several Appellate matters.
